Boys Water Polo Set For 2026 Season Opener
There's excitement in the air as Lindbergh Boys Water Polo prepares to open the 2026 season tomorrow night in Chicago at 6:00 PM against Buffalo Grove High School at the Buffalo Grove Aquatic Center.
Coming off a strong 23–7 season in 2025, the Flyers return a talented and experienced group ready to build on last year's success and make an early statement to open the season.
Returning Impact Players to Watch
The Flyers bring back a number of key contributors who played a major role in last season's success:
Shawn Gill (Sr., CEN/UT)
One of the top offensive threats in the lineup, Gill led the way with 61 goals and 13 assists (135 points), consistently creating scoring opportunities and finishing.
Mili Pavlovic (So., CEN)
A dynamic presence at center, Pavlovic recorded 67 goals and 29 assists (163 points), proving to be one of the most dangerous scorers in the area.
Sean Greenwood (Sr., ATT)
A playmaker and distributor, Greenwood totaled 19 goals and 56 assists (94 points), helping drive the Flyers' offensive flow.
Porter Colbert (Sr., ATT)
Colbert contributed offensively with 2 goals, adding depth and experience to the attack.
Braden Wheatley (Jr., UT/ATT)
An efficient scorer, Wheatley tallied 4 goals on limited opportunities, showcasing his ability to capitalize when called upon.
Owen Schneider (Jr., ATT/DEF)
A versatile two-way player, Schneider added 1 goal while contributing on both ends of the pool.
Charlie Lewis (Jr., GK)
Lewis saw time in goal last season, earning 1 win while recording 11 saves, gaining valuable experience in the cage heading into this season.
