Lindbergh High School Athletics

HIGH SCHOOL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
In order to be eligible for participation in LHS Athletics, all prospective student-athletes must meet the following requirements:

• Be legally enrolled as a student in Lindbergh Schools.
• Be enrolled in 3.0 units of credit in the semester(s) of participation.
  • All 9-12 grade students must pass 3.0 units of credit in the semester preceding the season of completion to be academically eligible (this is 6 classes - LLB does not count as credit, Stuco is only .25 credit).
  • All incoming freshmen gain academic eligibility to participate in athletics in their first high school semester.
  • Note: A student who was academically ineligible the preceding semester, but meets the academic standard at the close of that semester becomes eligible the fifth day he or she attends classes in the succeeding semester.
• Be present at school for participation in practices, games or meets on that day. (Any exceptions must be ruled upon by the high school principal.)
  • All student-athletes must first participate in 14 practices before they will be allowed to participate in official contests. (Exceptions: Only 10 practices are required for softball and men’s golf.)
  • Note: Student-athletes who have participated in and completed a preceding athletic season are exempt from the practice rule stated above. This exemption covers only winter and spring student-athletes in the given academic year.
• Comply with all Missouri State High School Activities Association policies.
• LHS Academy students must pass a minimum of seven classes, earning 3.5 of a possible 4.0 units of credit.

MSHSAA Transfer of Enrollment Requirements:  
Students who transfer schools or do not meet the requirements of residency upon enrollment at the school as outlined in the MSHSAA Handbook on page 64 are ineligible for 365 days unless their cases meet the standards under the exceptions listed starting on page 65 of the MSHSAA Handbook.  Any student transferring to Lindbergh High School must meet with the Athletic Director after enrolling in classes at Lindbergh.

TRYOUT INFORMATION
All students wishing to participate in any MSHSAA Activity in the upcoming year must complete some specific requirements before tryouts for that sport begin.  Here are some important reminders:

Sport Season Kick-Off Dates for 2024 - 2025:
Fall sports begin Monday, Aug. 12, 2024
Boys & Girls Basketball, Girls Wrestling begin Monday, Nov. 4, 2024
Girls Swim & Boys Wrestling begins Monday, Nov. 11, 2024
Spring sports begin Monday, Mar. 3, 2025

Before each season there will be more information a few weeks before regarding dates and times for tryouts posted to this site, LHS Athletics Social Media Channels, and through the team social media outlets.

In order to register for sports you must go to www.registermyathlete.com and create an account.  You can choose as many sports as your child would like to participate in for the year.  There is a once a year activity fee of $35 that you will pay online as well.  All sections of your RMA application must be completed (e-signed and/ uploaded documents) before you are approved to tryout.  For detailed steps, CLICK HERE for a document that has instructions.

In the Physical Documents Section on Register My Athlete you will need to make sure they have the following completed:

• Upload PAGE 5 OF THE MSHSAA PHYSICAL FORM signed by a physician and dated July 1, 2023 or after for 2024 - 2025 school year. If you cannot get into your primary doctor you can go to Walgreens or Urgent Care for a physical.  The document is available in RMA or you can download it by CLICKING HERE.  Pages 1-3 of the physical document should be kept by athlete's physician.
• If you take medication at school this form must be filled out, signed by a physician and uploaded as well.  If you DO NOT take any medication at school do not fill out this form and can leave this section blank.

All of the ONLINE paperwork must be complete before you / your child can participate / tryout.
