The Lindbergh Flyers softball team celebrated senior night with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Fox Warriors.
Senior pitcher Gabby McBride dominated in the circle, striking out 10 batters and allowing just one earned run on five hits in a complete game performance.
The Flyers took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI single from senior center fielder Kendra Newman. The Warriors responded with a run in the seventh inning to tie the game. However, the Flyers walked off the game in the bottom of the seventh when Ellie Wigger scored from third base on a wild pitch.
The victory improves the Flyers' record to 15-7 with four games remaining in the regular season. They will now travel to Parkway South High School on Wednesday, October 9th, for their next matchup against the Patriots. First pitch is at 4:15 PM.
