54th Annual Lindbergh/Mehlville Tournament Round 1

Lindbergh 7, Northwest 1

The bottom of the lineup helped Lindbergh Varsity Flyers capture a 7-1 victory over Northwest on Friday. Aiden Steuber, Jack Stockmann, and Jack Politte combined for four of the team's eight hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in one.

Lindbergh Varsity Flyers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Ethan Cantareria singled, Michael Politte walked, and Macallan White walked, each scoring one run.

Eli Woodall earned the win for Lindbergh Varsity Flyers. They gave up zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out six and walking four.

Landon R took the loss for Northwest. The reliever went three and one-third innings, giving up two runs on five hits, striking out none and walking one.

Domonic D started the game for Northwest. They gave up one hit and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking six.

Simon Poole pitched two innings of shutout ball for Lindbergh Varsity Flyers in relief. They surrendered three hits, striking out three and walking none.

Lindbergh Varsity Flyers's Steuber made the most of their chances at the plate. The number seven hitter led the team with two hits in three at bats.

Stockmann, Politte, White, Cantareria, and Adler Crask each drove in one run for Lindbergh Varsity Flyers. Lindbergh Varsity Flyers had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 10 walks for the game. Politte, White, and Cantareria led the team with two walks each. Crask stole two bases. Lindbergh Varsity Flyers ran wild on the base paths, amassing five stolen bases for the game. Lindbergh Varsity Flyers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lane Elder had the most chances in the field with nine.

Brett B and Brayden W were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Northwest. B went 2-for-4 at the plate as the infielder led the team with one run batted in.

Northwest turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Lindbergh Varsity Flyers is a game against Lutheran on Saturday.
