Lindbergh Flyers Take Down Lafayette Lancers in Tight Ball Game (6-4)
The Lindbergh Flyers came from behind to defeat the Lafayette Lancers in a close 6-4 victory on Tuesday.
Early Lead for Lafayette:
Lafayette struck first in the top of the first inning when Daxton Shawke's sacrifice fly brought a runner home.
Lindbergh Responds:
The Flyers were quick to answer, tying the game at 1 in the bottom of the first inning thanks to a single by Lane Elder. Michael Politte then launched a solo home run in the bottom of the third, giving Lindbergh a 2-1 lead.
Lafayette Retakes the Lead:
Lafayette battled back, tying the game at 2 in the top of the fourth with a single from CJ Campbell. Shawke then put the Lancers back in front with a solo home run in the top of the fifth, followed by an error that extended their lead to 4-2.
Lindbergh Clinches the Win:
The Flyers displayed resilience in the bottom of the sixth inning. Austin Jones delivered a key double, driving in three runs and putting Lindbergh ahead 6-4. Jack Politte followed up with a sacrifice fly to further solidify their lead.
Pitching Performances:
Adler Crask secured the win for the Flyers, pitching effectively in relief. Tyson Oswald took the loss for Lafayette despite striking out six batters.
Offensive Leaders:
Austin Jones led Lindbergh offensively with two RBIs, while Lane Elder paced the team with two hits. Daxton Shawke had a strong performance for Lafayette, driving in two runs with his home run.

The Flyers and Lancers will meet again this evening for another game at Lafayette High School, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 pm.
