Trading Runs Early:

Kirkwood got on the board first in the top of the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Deven Peterson. The Flyers responded quickly, tying the game in the bottom of the inning thanks to a walk by Michael Politte. Jack Politte then singled in the bottom of the second, putting Lindbergh ahead 2-1. However, Kirkwood answered back in the top of the third with a double by Deven Peterson, tying the game at 2.

Politte's Dominant Performance:

Jack Politte was the star of the show for Lindbergh. He pitched all seven innings, allowing only two runs on eight hits. He also struck out five batters while walking just one. This impressive performance secured the win for the Flyers.

Offensive Highlights:

Number seven hitter Jack Politte led the way for Lindbergh's offense with two hits in three at-bats. Lane Elder and Jack Politte each drove in a run, while Michael Politte swiped two stolen bases. The Flyers played error-free defense, with Lane Elder leading the team in outs recorded.

Looking Ahead:

The Lindbergh Flyers will look to build on their momentum when they host the Cape Central Tigers on Friday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm at Lindbergh High School.
