The Lindbergh Flyers softball team secured a thrilling 7-5 victory over the Jackson Indians, thanks to a big 3rd and 5th innings and strong offensive production.
Marlee Steiner led the way for the Flyers, driving in three runs with her bat. Steiner, Allie Waldron, and Charlotte Kupferle each recorded two hits apiece, while Kristen Cochran delivered a crucial two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning.
Gabby McBride pitched a complete game for Lindbergh, striking out nine batters and allowing five earned runs on eight hits. Her performance in the circle was instrumental in securing the win.
The Flyers will look to carry this momentum into their next game, which will take place in the Rockwood Summit tournament on Friday, September 6th. They will first face Francis Howell at 4:00 PM in Chesterfield, followed by a second-round matchup with Silex High School at 5:45 PM.
